Save the date, register today, and organize your congregation to participate with us in San Francisco Pride, one of the largest LGBTQ+ parades & celebrations in the world. For nearly three decades, LGBTQ-inclusive congregations and affirming clergy from Northern California have proudly marched together, UNITED IN SPIRIT, as a collective testament to God’s extravagant, inclusive love.
Bring your congregational banners to the parade and join us in showcasing our unity amidst diversity, and with a vibrant rainbow-themed “God is Love” booth at the Civic Center Celebration, providing a welcoming space for the LGBTQ+ community to discover and connect with the diverse and inclusive spiritual communities in our city and region. United in Spirit not only introduces members of the queer & ally communities to our congregations, but we also present an opportunity to foster community connections with individuals from other inclusive congregations as well.

HELP SUPPORT OUR PRESENCE AT PRIDE
Every year people see our contingent and visit our booth remarking that they didn’t know congregations could be like us! Our witness helps our LGBTQ+ community members find spiritual homes and supportive community. We need your help! For the parade portion alone, we still face a total cost of $2,500. Our contingent features a motorized cable car, a rarity, ensuring accessibility for elderly and disabled participants. While it would be challenging for a single congregation to cover these costs alone, we can achieve this together, building community and offering a united LGBTQ+ inclusive spiritual witness.
CONTRIBUTIONS ARE TAX-DEDUCTIBLE
Your donations are tax-deductible, safe, and secure. United in Spirit is considered an interfaith project of Dignity/SF which is a 501(c)(3) religious nonprofit organization. Any excess funds are applied to next year’s expenses. We urge participating individuals, congregations, and regional bodies like associations, presbyteries, and conferences to contribute to this effort.

Then send an email to unitedinspiritsf@gmail.com with the contributor’s name, the donation amount, and whether the donate is on behalf of a particular congregation or group.
