“Go Make A Difference!” This is a popular UCC hymn (Sing! Prayer and Praise #199) and it’s the theme for the Fall gathering of the Golden Gate Association of the NCNCUCC.
Join us on Saturday, November 1st, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Congregational Church of the Peninsula UCC in Belmont, CA. Our program includes a festival worship service led by Rev. Jorge Bautista and Rev. Jessica Vacketta and special musical guests.
Our main program is devoted to Growing, Improving and Celebrating Our Digital Ministries and will be led by Convergence Digital Ministry Fellow Rev. Colleen Darraugh. Convergence is a well-known UCC Consultation group. This is designed for churches of every size and expression of social media and whether or not you currently record or broadcast your services. Learn how we can continue to expand the awareness of our communities and their accessibility to those on-line or on-site. This is for all members, pastors, worship leaders, musicians, social media users, staff. Rev. Colleen Darraugh has been active in congregational and denominational ministry for most of her life. Her journey began in the Salvation Army in Canada. After coming out, she found her way to Metropolitan Community Churches. Having worked as a music educator then as a professional trombonist, Colleen entered Emmanuel College, Toronto School of Theology, and began her pastoral career, which now spans 40+ years. In 2003-04, she engaged in a hybrid ministry commuting between her home in North Texas and a congregation in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. From 2018-2022, she led Mobilizing Love Ministries, a primarily online community. Currently, she pastors Metropolitan Community Church of Knoxville and is engaged in her dissertation research and writing.
